Short Synopsis

Greed. Betrayal. Murder... Just another day on the farm.

The Farm [Image of film poster]

Set in a remote farming community, this claustrophobic thriller, The Farm, tells the story of Cathy, a tough, independent young woman who, shortly after the death of her brother, finds herself struggling in the face of mounting hardship to save her family farm from the attentions of Edward Henderson, a local landowner.

Into her uncertain future comes a man with a secret past, John Prior, a young drifter and friend of her brother’s who at first seems to bring with him hope of a better life.

Prior’s past soon catches up with him however, and they soon both find themselves in a desperate fight against time, the mob and even each other to save... The Farm.

Production Summary

Based solely on the psychologically thrilling script, Pillay-Evans Productions (Sousila Pillay & Stephen J. Evans) has already attached a very strong cast and soundtrack to the film.

Marc Warren

Our leading man is currently the excellent and diverse Marc Warren, who has shined in a host of films and TV programmes including 'Green Streets', 'Colour Me Kubrick' and Steven Spielberg's 'Band of Brothers'.

Real-life tough guy Jamie Foreman will play the flamboyant and arrogant gangster, Rekka, and after his scene-stealing role in 'Layer Cake' he is sure to bring the character to a full menacing life. The sad, single, perverted character of Alan is to be played by Mark Benton. With a vast filmography from 'Career Girls' to 'Theresa Ranquin’ he has the pedigree to provide yet another fine performance.

To accompany the strong script and cast, we have also been in discussions with Universal Publishing,

The Farm

who have provided us unreleased tracks from Stereophonics and Kaiser Chiefs, plus songs from Feeder, Mylo, Royksopp, Zero 7, The Bravery, Jem, Super Furry Animals, Kubb and many other Top 40 Bands, increasing the whole appeal to our target audience of 18-25 year olds.

David Ball and Wesley Snipes

As this is our first feature film, we have enlisted the guidance and support of the vastly experienced production company CF1 CYF who produced 'The I Inside’, 'Heidi', 'The Shooter' (w/ Wesley Snipes) and 'Up n Under' to name a few. Through this co-production, David Ball will Line Produce having never gone above budget on all 60 films over his illustrious 30-year career.
